Well known local historian, award winning editor and author, Steven Schwankert, will be lecturing about Simon Lake. Simon Lake was at the forefront of the original and future designs of the submarine. With over 200 patents, his knowledge came from being an mechanical engineer and naval architect. We even have a piece of his history right in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor with the replica of his original design, the Argonaut. So come out to hear this interesting lecture at the Strauss Mansion Museum. This is a free event, but donations are accepted.
